I specialise in EU law, energy, trade and antitrust law. Over the last decade and a half I have also researched and lectured in the fields energy security and trade policy. I also think about the application of law to state and corporate strategic interests.
Currently I am a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Statecraft in London, and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, Washington DC. Formerly, I held a chair at City Law School in central London, part of City University. I hold a PhD in EU competition law from Edinburgh University, and qualified as a Solicitor.
I also chair the Competition Law Scholars Forum, an academic forum for discussion of competition law, and co-edit the Competition Law Review. See http://www.clasf.org
